Minolta MC Rokkor PF 55mm f1.7

..

..

This is a great lens to use on a mirrorless body. Focusing is easy, yes easy. Focus dampening and focus throw are perfectly balanced. Aperture clicks are positive and quiet. It is very sharp from F1.7 thru f16. Low contrast bokeh is consistent thru all apertures. Highlight bokeh is hexagonal at f5.6 & up. Contrast is excellent at all apertures and color rendition is slightly cool. Fringing is very well controlled. I noticed a small amount on overexposed white subjects. Bokeh fringing is subdued and well controlled. Flare is apparent in direct light. This is a good lens to just walk around and shoot with.
