Here we have another adapt-a matic lens from Tamron. It is well made. Focus is smooth and it has a long throw. I found it a bit difficult to focus on the EOS 6D, but the lighting was atrocious today. Wide open it is usable but a little soft. Corner sharpness is quite good, At f4 it tightens up a bit. Contrast improves along with sharpness across the frame. Bokeh is smooth and this is to be expected from a portrait lens. There is some fringing at f2.8 but it is minor an easily corrected. At f4 it is reduced. This is a classic lens and its images have a classic feel. I have no doubt it is a good portrait lens. I can't wait to try it on a better day.
