Quantaray 500mm f8 Mirror
Most Quantaray lenses were made by Sigma and some were made by Tamron and Tokina. This lens performs like a Sigma Mirror lens. It is reasonably sharp if you can hold it steady. It has the typical ringed bokeh we see from mirror lenses. Contrast is surprisingly high. While it is not a Zeiss or even a Tamron in quality, it is still far better than any of the off-brands flooding the market.

Auto Tamron 135mm f2.8 (Adaptamatic)
Here we have another adapt-a matic lens from Tamron. It is well made. Focus is smooth and it has a long throw. I found it a bit difficult to focus on the EOS 6D, but the lighting was atrocious today.
Wide open it is usable but a little soft. Corner sharpness is quite good, though. At f4 it tightens up a bit. Contrast improves along with sharpness across the frame.
Bokeh is smooth and this is to be expected from a portrait lens.
There is some fringing at f2.8 but it is minor an easily corrected. At f4 it is basically gone.
This is a classic lens and its images have a classic feel. I have no doubt it is a good portrait lens. I can't wait to try it on a better day.
