I only had time for a few shots before this lens was sold off. Bushnell has specialized in sports optics for 70 years. For a short time they distributed camera lenses that were made in Japan. Like most 70's lenses, they were well made. I got my hands on a Nikon Non Ai version of the 35mm f2.8. Sharpness is good from f4 up. Contrast is average and color rendition is warm. I did notice some minor fringing up to f5.6. At f5.6 sharpness is very good. Close focus performance is good. Focus dampening is excellent. Distortion is negligible. If you need a budget 35mm, this will do fine.
Bokeh fringing is noticeable, but color shifts are not severe and fringing is corrected as the lens is stopped down.
