Quantaray 500mm f8 Mirror
Most Quantaray lenses were made by Sigma and some were made by Tamron and Tokina. This lens performs like a Sigma Mirror lens. It is reasonably sharp if you can hold it steady. It has the typical ringed bokeh we see from mirror lenses. Contrast is surprisingly high. While it is not a Zeiss or even a Tamron in quality, it is still far better than any of the off-brands flooding the market.

The Kiron 70-150 is sharp, contrasty and unusually well dampened for a one touch zoom It is sharp at f4 with a pleasant bokeh.
There is minor zoom creep on my lens. It can be an issue when shooting macro at a steep angle.
It has excellent , full time 1:4 macro performance.
It does suffer from noticeable fringing in high contrast scenes but if you avoid a stark white sky you will be very happy with the results.
It is relatively small so it will handle well on a mirrorless body. It handles very well slr bodies. Focusing is easy and it balances very well. I have never had an issue with camera shake while using the Kiron 70-150.
This is one of my faviorite lenses. It's build and image quality are very high for a lens that regularly sells for less than $50.
